Reconnect with your voice, your body, your creativity… and your French. Perth French Theatre is opening a new adult group in 2026 — a welcoming and energising space for anyone who wants to grow through theatre and practise French in action. Our training blends movement, breathwork, voice, acting techniques and improvisation. It’s a practical, joyful, and confidence-building approach: you learn to express yourself more clearly, feel grounded, manage stress, and connect genuinely with others. No matter your background — absolute beginners or people with previous theatre experience — you’ll find a place here. What matters is curiosity, openness, and the desire to play in French.
The training is guided and structured, with high standards, while adapting to each participant’s personality and experience.
Our philosophy At Perth French Theatre, theatre is not only about performing on stage. It is a powerful tool to develop confidence, presence, expression and connection — on stage and beyond.

The training
The training is led by Helia Sulak, trained in theatre and film (WAPPA, NIDA). Her approach combines structured theatre training with a strong attention to each participant’s personality, rhythm and experience. Sessions are demanding when needed, always supportive, and designed to help each person grow — whether their path leads to the stage or simply to greater confidence, presence and expression.
Who is this group for?
This group is designed for adults and teenagers who want to:
improve their spoken French in a dynamic and practical way
gain confidence when speaking in front of others
reconnect with creativity and play

join a kind, motivating and open-minded group
A mix of levels is welcome — from adventurous beginners to people with past theatre experience. All French levels welcome (from intermediate to native speakers).
